Who am I? I range between an all-in-one fax machine and a Swiss-knife ... Seriously, I can not define which of my passions fascinates me most:
Cartoons, 3D modeling, photography, music, entertainment, lighting ... I try to find myself a specialty, but I just can't ! I have to touch everything!
In short, I studied in communications at the CEGEP du Vieux-Montreal where I completed with an internship in video-directing with the quebec-known director (Louis-19, RBO, etc.) at "La Fabirque d'Images", because what I was motivated by the most at the time was television. However, a few months later my life took a turn while I was immersed in the music business, I found myself attending public relations at the MPV Records, which was one of the largest independent record labels in Montreal at that time (Groovy Aardvark, BARF, Noir Silence, Anonymous, les Frères à Ch'val, Kermess, and many others). Then I had a promotion (which turned out to be rather a professional suicide!) as a Booker for the same groups previously named. As a result, under the label Disques Basta Records that I created, I began to deal with some unknown upcoming bands, but I believe had the ability to pierce ... I became their manager and promoter, I produced shows and demos ... I swallowed there a fortune! (actually, not so much, but it was still everything I had!) So I went back to school at Musi-Technic to learn the recording technique to see if there were things I could do by myself to save some money ... I bought the equipment, learned the art, and here I am a few years later with a student loan of more than $ 20 000 and no longer dealing with other bands, but bringing my support as best I can to the emerging scene.
Over the years I have gained a technique that allowed me to collaborate in the creation and development of some studios including Studio 167 and the NorthStar Entertainment studio where I acted as Technical Director.
Also, when I was in college, I discovered I had some talent in photography by doing some student projects. A few years later I am quietly equipped with flashes, umbrellas, backgrounds, etc. to mount a studio offering an interesting potential. A new modeling agency offered me to look after the portfolio of new models joining the agency, which allowed me to practice the art of photography and develop the interaction that must be between the models and the photographer. Now I know how to get the best out of a model, photogenic or not!
Finally, I am always looking for projects that make me vibrate, so do not hesitate to contact me if you think I can be useful at any level of your project!
